Lychee Slicer 3 is an easy to use slicer software, in a user-friendly interface. It helps you preparing your 3D models for resin 3D printing in an efficient way and will assist you in the preparation of the most complex 3D models.
With version 3, most of the foundation of the software engine has been rewritten, including its automatic and manual support engine. And now, it’s FREE!
The full version will allow you to prepare your 3D models for resin printing, including automatic and manual support and high-quality functions.
Lychee Slicer 3 version is displaying 3D printing-related advertising before slicing based on the selected 3D printers. Some printers from partnered companies are add-free, and users can purchase through a one-time fee a 3D printer, removing the advertising before slicing.
Users of Lychee Slicer 2 have access to the upgrade to Lychee Slicer 3 and the application is ads-free.
Based on the Free version, it adds more advanced features that will benefit advanced users and serious hobbyists. Future developments will be added first in the Pro version.
Pro version can be tested at no cost with the public beta or can be purchased now with a special discount.
Note: trial of the Pro version is displaying ads before slicing, which can be skipped.
Lychee Slicer 3 is available for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux
They were requested, here they are! New 3D printers have been to the list with the Elegoo Mars 2 Pro, the Anycubic Photon Zero, or the Phrozen Sonic Mini 4K to name a few. And we will continue to add more of them on a regular basis.
Lychee Slicer 3 provides a new powerful support system, which includes a cage mode natively. For each support created, the algorithm will try to avoid as much as possible the model, going around it, resulting in fewer touchpoints on the 3D print. It means fewer support artifacts, then less sanding, and improved quality.
And as before, all the supports can be manually edited for perfect fine-tuning.

Lychee Slicer is well known for its manual support capabilities. In version 3, major improvements have been made and will benefit both Pro and Free editions users.
With the Pro subscription, a new Advanced mode has been introduced for support editing or support creation, which lets you manipulate all the individual elements of your support structure. It has never been easy to create complex supports for complex parts… the easy way!
New clipping mode
Understanding what is happening at any time of your 3D print is critical for support creation. The new clipping shows a slice of your model while manipulating your supports, making the creation of supports an easy operation, including inside 3D models.
Pixel pipeline
The whole pipeline in Lychee Slicer 3 is pixel-based and not vector-based because your 3D printer will display pixels on the screen. Thanks to that, our slicer in high-quality mode will produce a more accurate slice than other tools, especially in fine and micro details. Figurine lovers will love that!
Pixel Perfect slices previews (Pro)
In association with the new clipping bar, enable the Pixel Perfect mode: the slice displayed on the screen is the accurate representation of what your printer will print for the same slice. It’s the best tool for perfect support creation, and manual support users will not be able to live without it anymore.
Fixing 3D models
Having models with structure issue is always a problem with 3D printing tools, resulting in issues in manipulation or worst, print failure. Lychee Slicer 3 provides one of the best solutions: an integration with Netfabb online* service.
*A free Autodesk account is required. An internet connection is required as the model is upload then downloaded from the Netfabb service platform.
Overcured supports and progressive burn-in layers (Pro)
MSLA printers are great, but printing small tips of supports may be challenging: not enough exposure and the tip can break, resulting in a potential 3D print failure. With Lychee Slicer 3, increase the exposure time only for the supports to over-cure them without affecting the 3D model.
On the opposite, the burn-in layers exposure time can be progressively reduced, to save some printing time, but more importantly, reducing the elephant foot effet.
With the new variable layer function, you can define the layer thickness and all other slicing parameters for a specific range of layers: starting at 100 microns per layer, then switching at 25 microns for some parts, and then finishing at 50 microns. With variable layers, save hours of printing time!
Finding the best settings for a specific resin brand and type and fitting your 3D printer specifications is not always easy. That’s why Lychee Slicer lets you import and export very quickly resin profiles, including profiles from other slicing software. Focus on printing, not tweaking resins settings.
Speed!
It’s new, but not visible: we did several speed enhancements in mesh loading, but also support generation and manipulation, with for some action, with a factor 10 to 15, visible especially on large scenes and high-resolution models.
But speed is not everything: our goal is quality, and our pixel-based pipeline means that we manipulate large volumes of data, and operations like our high-quality slicing can take time. Yes, it is on purpose!
3D Printer simulator
Free Slicer Software For Mac
Turning your head upside down? Trying to see what is the front or the back? All SLA 3D printer users have been at least once asking themselves how the model will be oriented… or just how it will work. Lychee Slicer 3 introduces a simulator mode that will visually simulate the 3D printer as it works and, of course, displaying the slice on its screen.
We did multiple changes in Lychee Slicer 3 user interface by streamlining some operations but also making more accessible some not easy to find functions. And we will continue to do these changes in the future as we believe that feeling at ease always makes the work easier.
Mini support behind the ring, when usual supports are too large to be used.
